The Versa Aries stands apart from traditional analog radios as it operates as an IP (Internet Protocol) two-way radio. Its primary requirement for functionality is a reliable internet connection.  

The Versa Aries provides two reliable connectivity options:

1. SIM Card Connectivity

The device is equipped with two Nano SIM card slots. Ensure the SIM cards have sufficient data to enable internet access.

2. Wi-Fi Connectivity

Wi-Fi can be configured directly through the device interface, supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks for seamless performance.

The Versa Aries does not depend on traditional radio frequencies such as VHF or UHF. Instead, it operates on cellular network bands, covering a range from UHF to SHF bandwidths.

Coverage is determined by the cellular network of the SIM card in use. However, with its Wi-Fi compatibility, the Versa Aries can maintain connectivity nationwide or even globally, provided it has access to the internet.

Under average usage, the Versa Aries consumes less than 500 MB of data per month for basic Push-to-Talk (PTT) and GPS functionality. Daily data usage typically remains under 20 MB, assuming the radio is active 24/7, with 2–3 hours of talk time and GPS updates every five seconds.
